Doula Information
Doula means servant. It is my privilege to serve women and their partners and families through this journey. For many it is uncharted territory. My job is to be a guide; listen, supply information, answer questions, and follow your lead. As a Doula, I know you know what is best for your baby and body. I have over 18 years of birth experience and have 5 children of my own. Helping moms and partners birth their babies and birth their families at the same time is an honor.
Do Doula’s Really Help?
Women supported by an experienced professional doula in labor have been shown to have:
- 50% reduction of cesarean rate
- 25% shorter labor
- 60% reduction in epidural requests
- 33% reduce dissatisfaction with birth
- 40% reduction in forceps delivery
6 Weeks after birth, mothers who had doulas were:
- Less anxious and depressed
- More confident with their baby
- More satisfied with their partner (71% vs. 30%)
- More likely to be breastfeeding (52% vs. 29%)

My Doula fees are $1500, the first payment being a non-refundable $750 due upon signing the Doula Services Agreement. $750 is to be paid by 37 weeks gestation (based on estimated due date).
